Terms of Service

Riverview is a service operated by RIVERVIEW RETREAT LIMITED (NZBN 9429032309805, company number 2228074), a company registered in New Zealand at Akaccounting Limited, 80 Justine Drive, Rolleston, Canterbury, New Zealand. In these terms, "Riverview", "we", "us" and "our" mean RIVERVIEW RETREAT LIMITED.

By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Riverview is a digital content-generation tool. You describe how you're feeling and what time you have, and our software uses AI to produce personalised, downloadable planning content — a PDF retreat handbook, mood-board images and, on the Sanctuary plan, a short preview video.

Riverview does not book, sell or arrange any travel, accommodation, transport, tours, medical care or therapy. Everything we produce is informational content that you choose whether and how to act on. You are responsible for any bookings, travel and decisions you make.

All products are digital content delivered automatically and instantly to your account — no physical goods are shipped. We are not a travel agency or tour operator, and we provide no medical, psychological or therapeutic services.

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account.

Tell us promptly at the support email if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Riverview offers a free Drift tier and paid Pause and Sanctuary subscriptions, priced in US dollars. Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until you cancel — Pause at US$10/month (or US$96/year) and Sanctuary at US$59/month (or US$566/year). By subscribing you authorise these recurring charges until you cancel, which you can do at any time from your billing page.

Depending on the payment method you choose, your payment may be processed by Stripe, or by a Merchant of Record (such as Creem) that acts as the seller of record, appears on your statement, and handles billing, invoicing and any applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) for the purchase. Where Stripe processes the payment, your card statement shows the descriptor RIVERVIEW PAUSE.

We may change prices or plan features. If we change the price of a plan you're on, we'll give you reasonable notice before it applies to your next renewal.

You can cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then drops to the free tier.

Because plans are generated on demand, unused allowance is not refunded. Our full approach is set out in the Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy.

You agree to use Riverview only for lawful, personal planning, and to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Riverview is not a medical, psychological, crisis or travel-agency service, and its output is not professional advice. Please read our AI Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

We own the Riverview software, brand and site. Subject to your plan and these terms, you may use the content we generate for you for your own personal, non-commercial planning. We grant no rights to resell or rebrand our output.

To the extent permitted by law, Riverview is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on generated content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act or other laws that cannot be excluded.

We may update these terms from time to time; the effective date below shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of New Zealand.
